Short

Your Empire puts you on the throne of a country that never existed, on a map of the real Earth. You start young, with a few real cities. Every year brings 3 to 5 events, each with 2 to 6 options and a price. Your ruler lives 60 to 100 years. Then comes the final card

Long

Your Empire is a strategy game that runs in a web browser, on desktop and phone. The player rules a randomly generated empire built around 2 to 5 real neighboring cities, anywhere on Earth. The map is the whole interface, drawn in layered paper, and the world beyond the player's neighbors lies in fog

The only thing the player does is choose. More than 8,500 events in 23 kinds, from revolts and coups to plagues, prophets and comets, arrive 3 to 5 times a year at normal speed. Each offers 2 to 6 options, shows its immediate effects as arrows and icons, and hides the long-term consequences. Other empires are run by bots that face the same events, so great powers rise and collapse without a script

The world starts medieval and, within one life, can reach factories and railways, with no named eras. Cities and their borders are real, while empires, peoples, rulers and religions are invented. A ruler lives 60 to 100 years and a game takes 1 to 2 hours. When the ruler dies, the player gets a shareable final card, a chronicle of the whole reign and a place on the leaderboards
